Book Doctoring & Writer's Digest School
Ardath has been an instructor for Writer's Digest School for almost twenty years, instructing in the short story and novel writing courses and working for the critique service. Even before that she was active in editing, proofreading, and critiquing work for new writers through private referrals and writer's conferences, and had worked as a professional proofreader for ten years early in her career.

Be prepared to send her five pages from the beginning of the work you want edited, in order for her to judge the level of your skill. If you are accepted, she will charge you two dollars per page of manuscript (a $25 minimum charge for very short works) for a full edit/critique and thorough proofreading. If you are not accepted there is no charge for the preliminary reading.
Enrollment must of necessity be limited.
