It only ran for 12 issues, but it did get a spin-off, Bar Sinister. I really really liked that comic!

The son of a half-Sioux father and an Irish mother, Joshua Brand never fit in. when his father died at an early age, the young Brand attempted to leave his troubled life by running away. Eventually returning home, Joshua found that his mother was dying, and that his running away solved nothing. Attempting to come to terms with his inner demons, Joshua came under the turelage of Grey hawk, an old Indian shaman. He later discovered he mystically possessed the powers of all amnimals and the earth tself. As a result, Joshua Brand became the protector of the planet. Now, as the Stalking Wolf, those who ravage the Earth and harm its children are his prey.
